‘welcome to my crib’ (a phrase taken from MTV show ‘Cribs’ that featured tours of the private homes of celebrities and aired until 2010) focuses on the turn-of-the-millenium nostalgia and the culture associated with it, explored through domestic artefacts and imagery sourced from movies, TV series, advertising and social media. Within this framework, the artists touch upon what has shaped their experience as a teenager, whether it is a migrant background, the fact of being an adolescent girl, or the sense of emotional support, or lack thereof, from others.
